Menstruation hygienic facilities in Pakistan's schools are rare to exist. Most of the schools don't bother to provide necessary hygienic materials in schools. Today I'll discuss about the facilities which are not present in schools and also what impact it leaves behind on the girl's personality because of the absence of these materials.
BASIC FACILITIES
Separate Toilets For Women: Firstly, there should be separate toilets for women in schools so that they would get proper space for cleanliness
Dirty Toilets: Most of the schools which have toilets, don't have satisfactory sanitary conditions
Supply Of Water : In most of the schools, supply of water is inadequate. Water is basic necessity for menstruation hygiene
Tissues Availability: Tissue is also an important necessity during menstruation for most of the women
Absence of Soaps: Most of the schools of Pakistan don't even have soaps for washing
Absence Of Sanitary Pads: In most of the schools of Pakistan especially in backward area's school, they don't have facility of sanitary pads
Pain Relief Drugs: Most of the girls feel pain in their lower abdomen during menstruation, but schools don't have pain relief drugs
Disposal of menstruation hygienic material: Schools in Pakistan don't have proper place or containers for the disposal of menstruation sanitary materials
Impact On Girls:
Lack Of Confidence: Unavailability of these materials reduces the confidence of a girl to walk with chin up. She feels uneasy to talk with other people because of the bleeding
Absenteeism: 50% of girls avoid coming to the school during menstruation because they feel anxious about blood spots on their clothes
Fear Of People's Word: Most of the girls don't come to the schools during their periods because they think that if someone found this, will make fun of them
