Period pain or menstrual cramps are also called Dysmenorrhea. These symptoms typically last less than two-three days. The pain usually occurs in the pelvis or lower abdomen.
Moreover, there are two types of Dysmenorrhea; primary and secondary. Most women experience primary dysmenorrhea that is mild cramps. Whereas some experience secondary dysmenorrhea that is a more painful version of cramps. Any other period pain is related to a disorder in the reproductive organs.
