Can stress impact your period? The answer is " YES". Stress just doesn't make you uneasy but also affects the functioning of the body like hormonal changes. Your anxiety, stress, and depression lead to the disordered menstrual cycle. There are three kinds of situations

Early Period: In early period, women can bleed just after their last period or two weeks before the expected time. It is mainly cause by the hormonal changes. Following are the reasons of this unbalanced cycle

Stress and Anxiety
Abrupt weight loss and gain
Not to get enough sleep
Puberty
Late Period Stress and anxiety in women cause irregular and or missed periods. As stress level arises, your menstrual period will temporarily stop this condition is known as secondary Amenorrhea.
CAUSE:
Overactive thyroid gland
Low estrogen level ( hormone which regulates menstrual cycle)
High testosterone level ( balance hormone's during menstrual cycle)
Heavy Period: Stress is responsible for heavy periods. Women experience heavy periods more than usual while their time during menstrual cycle remains consistent. This condition is called Menorrhagia.
